HISTORY

The oldest vestiges of the existence of espadrilles in the world date back 4,000 years and were found in Albuñol, Granada . Casa Vega, one of the oldest espadrille shops in the world, was founded in 1860 . Esparto grass shoes alternated with saddlery, horse riding and hunting tools, as well as canvas and cordage. What began 161 years ago as a workshop store that sought to satisfy the needs of horsemen, farmers and ranchers, is today a renewed century-old brand that offers a selected proposal of impeccably crafted espadrilles, bags and timeless accessories.

The historic store of CASA VEGA is located next to the Madrid Rastro. It is a curious space with a long tradition and a lot of flavor, where the complete collection of accessories, shoes and accessories for the holidays is presented along with renewed classics: bags and accessories with a retro air to be worn all year round. Our inviting loungewear has its own style, and the gift collection is a handy source of inspiration. CASA VEGA, a Madrid classic from 1860, gives a contemporary twist to its collections.
